Matt is the Co-Leader for Smith Brothers’s Financial Sponsor Practice. He has over 20 years of experience in designing and implementing risk management programs in many industries, with specific experience focus on managing Property & Casualty Risk for Private Equity firms & their Portfolio Companies, as well as privately- held Manufacturers, Wholesalers, Technology providers, Retail, and Specialty Contractors. Matt joined Smith Brothers in 2004, after serving as a Risk Advisor for a national Brokers as well as two national Insurance carriers.

Matt holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Connecticut. He lives in Coventry, CT, and enjoys spending time with his family and coaching youth sports.
