Matt Cocco has been involved in the surety industry in Connecticut for over seventeen years and is a Risk Advisor on our Surety team at Smith Brothers Insurance. Prior to Smith Brothers he held various leadership and management positions with Travelers Surety and Liberty Mutual Surety. He serves on the Government Relations and 5/15 Leadership Committee with the NASBP and has been a frequent guest speaker at various construction summits representing the surety industry. Matt is a lifelong Connecticut resident, is a graduate of the University of Connecticut, and currently resides in Southington with his wife and two kids. He is actively involved in his community serving on volunteer committees with the Southington YMCA, Saint Dominc’s Church in Southington, and is a volunteer youth hockey coach.
