Austin joined Smith Brothers in 2019 and leads a team of five having over 18 years of industry experience. Austin serves as the risk advisor to both private and non-for-profit organizations, including, private equity, manufacturing, software and technology, real estate, healthcare, and higher education. Focused on account management and client advocacy, Austin works with senior leadership and Boards of Directors analyzing risk and then implementing risk transfer strategies to protect balance sheets from unfunded liabilities.
Austin received his undergraduate degree from the Trinity College and his law degree from University of Connecticut School of Law. He also served in the Unites States Marine Corps. He lives in West Hartford with his wife Lindsay and three children.
