History

The background
Smith Brothers was established in 1971 by two brothers, Bob and Brian Smith, who shared a vision for ethical, creative solutions that could help people confidently build a business, a life and a future.

From the beginning, the Smith brothers forged relationships with each client to understand their unique goals, potential and risk exposure. Today, relationships are still the foundation of our business as we continue to work side-by-side with each client to help them realize their goals – however they define them.

The growth
Since 1971, we have grown into a full insurance and financial services organization with more than 80 employees. Smith Brothers now has an international reach through Assurex Global – combined, Assurex Global partners are the third largest brokerage facility in the world – and expertise in Commercial Lines, Personal Lines, Employee Benefits, Surety, 401(k), as well as Risk Management, Human Resources, and Financial Services.

We serve a large group of diverse clients year after year and retain approximately 95% annually.
